Celebrating 250 and 50

In 2026, our nation reaches a remarkable milestone: 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. It coincides with another milestone close to home: 50 years since the introduction of Community’s “Total Service” philosophy, a commitment that has guided how we serve our customers and community every day.

In recognition of these historic anniversaries, Community Savings Bank welcomed customers and neighbors to celebrate in-person, with special events, giveaways, and opportunities to connect on Friday, July 3, 2026 and Monday, July 6, 2026.

Spring Shred-a-Thon

Community hosted another one of its popular Shred-a-Thons on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Customers and members of the community were invited to shred old checks, bank statements, and other documents with personal information at no charge.

Home Buying Seminars

Community Savings Bank hosted two home buying seminars for prospective buyers looking to buy and own a home in April. The first home buying seminar was held on Saturday, April 18th in English and the second was hosted on Saturday, April 25th in Spanish.

Ela Augustyn Celebrates 25 Years

Ela Augustyn celebrated her 25th anniversary at Community Savings Bank on April 27, 2026. She is another new member of the large group of employees who has worked at the bank for 25 years or more. Her anniversary was celebrated on Tuesday, April 28th with cake and well wishes from her co-workers.

Community in the Classroom

On April 17, 2026, two of Community’s staff members taught Burbank Elementary School fourth graders about saving for the future.  Yolanda Salgado and Ann Cleven presented to three fourth grade classrooms about bank accounts, saving for the future, and how to become one of Community’s star savers.

Thank You, Fred Southward

Fred Southward, President of Southward & Associates, Community’s marketing and advertising agency for 50 years, retired in March. Fred and Harvey Cleven introduced electronic banking in July of 1976. Thanks for your Total Service over the years Fred.
