Community Savings Bank hosted two home buying seminars for prospective buyers looking to buy and own a home in April. The first home buying seminar was held on Saturday, April 18th in English and the second was hosted on Saturday, April 25th in Spanish.
Community’s Outreach Officer, Marisol Gaytan, organized the seminars with the bank's loan department. Both seminars included speakers with experience in budgeting, mortgage lending, real estate sales, and contractual aspects of buying a home.
At the seminars, many local area residents learned what they need to know about buying and owning a home. The speakers covered a number of topics including: how to find and budget for a home, the loan application process, repairing credit, and qualifying for special down payment programs.
Two of the bank’s staff members presented on mortgage lending: Vice President Art Neville (NMLS#715802) presented in English and Loan Officer Jenel Ventura (NMLS# 1690633) presented in Spanish.
“Community wants to help local residents understand mortgage lending programs and what’s needed to buy a home in today’s market,” said Art Neville, vice president and chief lending officer at the bank.
Dane H. Cleven, president, chairman, and CEO explained, “These seminars are part of Community’s continuing efforts to help local residents own homes.”
