Hiring Part-time Teller I


Community Savings Bank is looking for a part-time Teller I who will perform a variety of customer transactions. The Teller I will maintain accurate records, ensure proper documentation and perform all assigned duties while adhering to bank policies, procedures, regulations.

Bank Locations: 4801 W. Belmont Ave. and 4824 W. Belmont Ave. Chicago, IL 60641

Bank Hours of Operation: Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri: 7:30 am - 6:30 pm. Wed/Sat: 7:30 am - 2:00 pm.

Part time Tellers typically work 4-5 days per week (avg. 25 hours per week, avg. 5-7 hours per day)

Principal Responsibilities and Duties

  • Process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments and utility bill payments with precision and attention to detail.
  • Verify customer identities and account balances to ensure accurate processing.
  • Assist customers with basic inquiries regarding accounts, products and services.
  • Promote bank products and services to customers.
  • Manage and balance a cash drawer at the end of each shift.
  • Detect and report counterfeit currency to management.
  • Report suspicious activities or fraudulent transactions to management.
  • Protect the privacy and confidentiality of customers' information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities Required

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Cash Handling
  • Knowledge of Fiserv System.
  • Knowledge of BSA/AML regulations
  • Counterfeit currency detection.
  • Banking/ Teller experience.
