Community Hosts Second Vintage Car Show

On Saturday, September 27, 2025, Community hosted its second Classic Car Show and Fall Festival with the Portage Park Chamber and Hermosa Belmont Cragin Chamber of Commerce.

“This free and family-friendly event offers an opportunity for Community to serve area residents as Your Personal Neighborhood Bank,” said Dane Cleven, president, chairman, and CEO of Community Savings Bank. “The bank continues to be a gathering place of the community for neighborhood events.”

This year’s event was larger in attendance and featured more vintage cars and vendors than the first year. A total of 37 vintage cars were on display throughout the event.

The festival also featured a petting zoo, bouncy house, craft booth, local DJ Jacob Arena, and special performance by Steinmetz College Prep’s drumline.

The vendors featured tacos from Migos Fine Food, a taffy apple bar from Alisha’s Sweet Treats and Things, Dubai chocolate strawberries from Grillicious Bite, tamales from El Señor Tamal, and a full-service ice cream truck. Several clothing vendors participated, including The Colette Collection.

The Chicago Police Department also passed out coloring books and Alderman Cardona and State Senator Martwick made special appearances.

Over 200 people voted for their favorite classic cars. The husband of Jenel Ventura, one of Community’s dedicated loan officers, won first and third place. Miguel Perez won first place for his 1970 Monte Carlo and third place for his 1991 Cadillac Brougham.

Two other staff members were featured in the car show. Elizabeth Gartshore’s husband, Jason Gartshore, brought his 1976 Camaro and guard Tom Bakula brought his 1970 Chevrolet Nova.

The bank is grateful to all who participated in this year’s car show and hopes to have another next year. To stay up-to-date with Community’s upcoming events, sign up for our newsletter updates here.
